Full 2023 NBA Draft order: Spurs win Victor Wembanyama lottery
The full 2023 NBA Draft order was revealed with the NBA Draft Lottery results on Tuesday night as the Spurs won the No.1 overall pick.
The 2023 NBA Draft is one of the most eagerly anticipated in recent memory, largely due to the presence of French sensation Victor Wembanyama. A generationally talented big man, that put a ton of drama into the NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday night as the winner of the lottery would have the chance to select a potential franchise-changing prospect.
Of course, the NBA Draft Lottery has changed. Prior to the 2019 draft, the team with the worst record in the NBA — the Detroit Pistons from this past season — had a 25% chance of getting the No. 1 pick. Now, the three-worst teams in the NBA all have a 14% chance equally at getting the No. 1 selection, though none of those teams can end up lower than the No. 5 pick.
And with that, the TEAM got the true win of the NBA Draft Lottery as they were awarded the No. 1 pick, and assumedly Wembanyama, on Tuesday night.
With the NBA Draft Lottery results now out, let’s take a look at the full 2023 NBA Draft order.

The Pistons were the massive losers of the NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday. They finished the season with five fewer wins than any team in the league and fell to the No. 5 pick after Tuesday night’s reveal. That’s a terrible break for Detroit, especially with the hope of pairing Wembanyama with Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey.
But the Spurs now get to add Wembanyama to the mix, selecting first overall for the first time since 1997 when they took another franchise-changer, Tim Duncan. The stage is set.
