5 Braves patches that were way better options than Quikrete
4. Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola on a corporate level probably doesn’t need any more ad revenue from a baseball patch, but it’s impossible to deny the Coke-Atlanta connection. The World of Coke is situated smack in the middle of downtown and is as one of the biggest tourist attractions in the city.
Plus, there’s some color synergy between Coca-Cola and the Atlanta Braves that simply doesn’t exist for Quikrete. Whether you’re a Pepsi fan or a Coke fan, everything gets called “coke” down here. If you were to ask, “what do I think of when I think of Atlanta?” we would arrive at “Braves” and “Coke” well before we arrived at Quikrete.
3. Home Depot
Another southern classic, Home Depot is spread across the state of Georgia like flies on a light at night. Every dad over the age of 30 has visited their Home Depot semi-regularly as a sort of monthly ritual, so what better way to connect with the older generation of baseball fans in and around the city?
The orange might clash with the uniform, but hey — that hasn’t stopped the Braves before.
2. The Varsity
An actual Atlanta staple, a true “in-the-city” classic. The Varsity is visited by many a Georgia Tech fan on football Saturdays and many a Falcons fan on football Sundays. While the Braves’ new stadium is located an unfortunately long distance from the Varsity, the connection between the best chili-dog joint in the city and the local sports teams is unbreakable.
“What’ll ya have?” A much better patch than Quikrete!
