Ranking the 5 best available NBA free agent power forwards in 2023
This season’s NBA free-agent class is loaded with talent, especially at the power forward position. Here are the five best available.
In this upcoming free agency, they are plenty of good power forwards available. Some of they might not be a starter on the perfect team but all of them are at the very least solid rotational players who can help any team — floor spacers, defensive game-changers and offensive creators.
Teams will have to pay up this offseason for the top power forwards, in part because several of them are restricted free agents and will need an offer rich enough that their current team might not match.
Best available NBA free agent power forwards: 5. Harrison Barnes
Harrison Barnes had a really rough post-season where he struggled to shoot. Still, he is a very good starter and in this league. He plays a lot of 3 but still has value as a floor spacer who can defend 4s and unlock small ball lineups.
The most perfect fit for him would be as a player off the bench who got 20 to 25 minutes a game in the regular season. He can’t really create off the ball but he is a very solid floor spacer in this league and can help any team. However, it’s likely that the Kings overpay for him this offseason due to their semi-successful season and a desire to keep their core together.
