18. Sean McVay – Los Angeles Rams

Sean McVay almost left the sidelines for the booth. That will always be a possibility. However, this list isn’t looking at how likely a coach will decide to continue their careers with their current team. It is specifically looking at how likely it is that a coach will be fired. Does it seem likely at all that McVay, who decided to make one more (at least) run with this roster would get fired by the Rams? He already brought a Super Bowl to the city of Los Angeles.

That was just over a year ago. Isn’t that insane? It seems like McVay won a Super Bowl years ago, but he was the defending champion just last year. There’s no way a coach who won a Super Bowl just two years prior is getting canned.

The Rams are an intriguing team. They still have Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp, and Matthew Stafford. Those star veterans might be enough to get them into a playoff spot. Is that not the ceiling for the Rams team this year?

The Rams and Sean McVay probably don’t have a lot of years left in their relationship, but for this year, everything is gravy. McVay returned with plenty of notice so the Rams didn’t have to scurry to find a replacement then renege on those negotiations. Neither side burned any bridges, and that will lead to less drama, at least this season.
