The Super Bowl is the one time every year when the NFL world all converges on one place. And for that reason, there is always a lot of talk about Super Bowl locations.

Fans and analysts alike will always talk about the hosts for the Big Game not just in terms of the venue being a good spot to watch the two best teams in the league face off for a championship and the Lombardi Trophy. However, let’s also not forget the atmosphere around the game, where fans can enjoy themselves.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen a run on west coast Super Bowl locations. State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ hosted in 2023 as the Chiefs upended the Eagles while it was new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA that served as the setting for the 2022 game with the Rams toppling the Bengals on their home turn. Then most recently, it was Kansas City again near the West Coast as they won back-to-back titles by beating the 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV in 2024.

But where is the Super Bowl heading next?

Moving forward, there is still plenty of west coast bias that we'll see in terms of future Super Bowl locations but there will also be some southeast flavor added to the mix for some of the future venues and hosts of the Big Game. Let's break down the fortchoming locations for the Big Game as well as taking a brief look at when these venues have previously hosted the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl locations in 2025, 2026 and beyond

These are the officially announced Super Bowl locations for 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028 that have officially been announced:

Super Bowl (Year)

Location

Date

Super Bowl LIX (2025)

Caesars Superdome (New Orleans, LA)

Feb. 9, 2025

Super Bowl LX (2026)

Levi's Stadium (Santa Clara, CA)

Feb. 8, 2026

Super Bow LXI (2027)

SoFi Stadium (Inglewood, CA)

Feb. 14, 2027

Super Bowl LXII (2028)

Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA)

Feb. 13, 2028

Levi’s Stadium, which was just recently announced as the host for 2026, also hosted Super Bowl 50 in which the Denver Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers. As for the Caesars Superdome, no venue has hosted the game more times than the fixture in New Orleans, the most recent of which was in 2013 as John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens topped his brother, Jim Harbaugh, and the San Francisco 49ers. Then, it'll be back to SoFi Stadium where the Rams won at home in the 2021-22 season.

It was also announced in October of the 2024 regular season that the Super Bowl in 2028 following the 2027-28 season would be played in Atlanta, GA at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The newer stadium has already hosted the Big Game once, back in 2019. If you don't remember that game, you probably aren't alone as it was the year in which the New England Patriots won a rockfight with the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3.

These should be some terrific hosts for the event where the NFL converges at the end of every season, though. The cities around these places offer plenty of fun and, overall, it should be a phenomenal time.

Of course, all 32 teams are simply booking these dates and locations on their calendars, planning on playing for a shot at the Lombardi Trophy.
