As reported to Adrian Wojnarowski, Tyler Herro may make his return for Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

The player has missed all of the postseason due to a surgery on his right hand. In the regular season, he was a bucket-getting machine. He averaged 20 points a game on 43 percent shooting from the floor.

Will Tyler Herro play in Game 2 of the NBA Finals?

Although Chris Haynes said that Herro would play in Game 3 at the earliest, the Heat are four wins away from winning the championship. When a player is that close to winning a NBA title, it is a lot easier to return earlier than expected.

Herro has his future secured financially so he does not risk lose anything from a finance perspective playing early.

When his injury was first reported, it seemed unlikely that he would ever play in the postseason due to his long recovery time.

It seems like at the very least that Herro will try to play for Game 2. The Heat could use his offensive production if they want to win. Caleb Martin and Max Strus may continue to struggle from the floor in this game and force the Heat into a bind.

Even if the Heat are able to get offense from Sturs and Martin, the Nuggets shot horribly in Game 1 and will most likely play better in Game 2. Miami could use Herro’s iso scoring in this series.

The sooner Herro returns, the better. In the most likely event, he will end up returning in Game 3. If he is somehow able to return in Game 2, he will be on a heavy minutes restriction most likely.
