When is the NBA Summer League 2023? Dates, location, teams

NBA Summer League is the beating heart of summer NBA basketball and a chance to see a new crop of budding stars. Here is everything you need to know for this year.

NBA Summer League is pro men’s basketball but with an entirely different vibe than the regular season. It’s looser, less formal, more fun and highlighted by incoming rookies, some of the best young players in the game and a slew of fringe players battling to earn recognition and a roster spot.

It’s the perfect low-stakes follow to a month of gorging ourselves on the non-stop buffet of rumors, trades and free agent signings that fills June and the first few days of July.

The NBA Summer League is actually divided into three separate events — two smaller tournaments featuring a handful of teams before the main event in Las Vegas that brings everyone together. Here is everything you need to know — when, where and who — for each of those three tournaments.

Stay tuned for the absolutely loaded 2023 NBA Draft to find out who will be headlining each team’s roster at each event. Games will be televised across several platforms, including NBATV, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU.

NBA Summer League 2023: California Classic Summer League

NBA Summer League 2023: Salt Lake City Summer League

Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Dates: July 3, 5-6
Teams: 

• Memphis Grizzlies
• Oklahoma City Thunder
• Philadelphia 76ers
• Utah Jazz

NBA Summer League 2023: NBA2K24 Summer League

Location: Las Vegas, NV
Dates: July 7-17
Teams: All 30 NBA teams
