MLB Rumors: The Braves should trade for Tim Anderson

Anderson graduated from high school in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and it would be a kind of return home for the All-Star to be traded to the Braves.

Orlando Arcia and Charlie Culberson are listed on the Braves’ depth chart for a shortstop, with Ehire Adrianza on the 60-day injured list. Arcia and Culberson are each utility players able to play anywhere in the infield or outfield.

The Braves are 42-26 and first in the NL East. They will undoubtedly be active at the trade deadline, and getting a veteran shortstop to pair with second baseman Ozzie Albies could be key for the Braves.
