Most underrated NBA free agents available: 1. Georges Niang

If we want to talk about underrated, then we need to talk about Georges Niang. At 6-foot-8, he doesn’t get to the rim as often as you’d expect. Perhaps, because he doesn’t need to. He’s more than fine from beyond the arc. In fact, last season, Niang finished top 12 in the entire NBA in made catch-and-shoot triples with 146, shooting 41.2 percent. What’s really noteworthy though is that most names on that list get a LOT more minutes than Georges Niang. I mean, a LOT more.

Besides shooting, Niang’s best ability is his availability. He’s great at staying healthy. Since the start of his 2021-22 campaign with the 76ers, Niang has played in 76 and 78 games each season. That’s only 10 games missed in two seasons. Admittedly, Niang has a lot of work to do defensively. However, if the 30-year-old power forward can provide more on that end of the floor, he’ll soon become a valuable two-way player that any team would pay for.
