Chiefs Twitter has had enough with fans hating on Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany Mahomes after a clip Netflix’s “Quarterback” went viral.
Patrick Mahomes is the most beloved man in Kansas City. His wife, Brittany Mahomes, doesn’t get to feel the love from NFL fans in quite the same way.
Brittany is the target of complaints across social media. She’s too present, too “annoying” and seems to anger some corners of the internet no matter what she does.
Take, for instance, her appearance in the Netflix documentary “Quarterback” featuring her husband. As soon as the show premiered, hatred appeared.
It's hard to fathom that Patrick Mahomes not only found, but MARRIED the most annoying human on planet earth.#QuarterbackNetflix pic.twitter.com/M1ZPZ2rkoH

While there are days worth of tweets slamming Brittany as annoying or insufferable (using far more questionable language), the tweet from @BackAftaThis with their 124,000 followers sparked a wave of backlash against all the hate.
Chiefs Twitter calls out Brittany Mahomes hate over “Quarterback” appearance
It's hilarious that Brittany Mahomes is annoying because she screams when her husband makes an incredible play but the person behind this account likely screams for their favorite team but no one on the team knows they exist.

Normalize wives cheering for their husbands. https://t.co/SBSdnXUPbw
Every anti-Brittany Mahomes take exudes such incel energy. Oh no, she loudly cheered her husband and celebrated a win instead of being more polite and demure, she's THE WORSThttps://t.co/sI8DtGGQR1

So people are criticizing Brittany Mahomes for cheering “too loud” for Patrick Mahomes.

If you’re watched Quarterback and this is the “worst” thing you can criticize someone for, it might be time for a new hobby.
I don’t get the Brittany Mahomes hate anymore. If the worst thing she is gonna do is go crazy while watching her husband ball out then I think she’s doing alright

People that bag on Brittany Mahomes are probably the same people that yell at youth umpires at an 8 & under tournament.

I purposefully do not engage in media that is critical of Brittany Mahomes, solely because those voices don't deserve the attention. It's a poor reflection that individuals think they can openly comment on someone whose worst "crime" is loving her family

Brittany and Patrick were high school sweethearts. They married in 2022 and have two children together. She has been a presence at Arrowhead Stadium and on social media, actively cheering on her husband.
While many in Chiefs Kingdom have embraced her passion for the game, others in the fanbase and the NFL at large have reacted negatively, criticizing her for being too much. That’s, unfortunately, what too often comes from being a woman in the public eye.
You don’t have to like Brittany. She may not be everyone’s cup of tea and that’s fine. But it is weird the way her enthusiasm is interpreted as an annoyance by so many. Fans are there to cheer and shout. Let her be a fan of her husband and the Chiefs.
Kansas City is set to begin training camp soon with the season opening against the Lions on Sept. 7 at Arrowhead Stadium. You can bet Brittany will be there and cheering, regardless of the social media criticism.
