MLS rumors: Suarez to Miami, Yoshida to LA Galaxy, Moura to LAFC

Today’s MLS rumors include Luis Suarez being linked with Inter Miami, Maya Yoshida has joined the LA Galaxy and Lucas Moura could be on his way to Los Angeles FC. 

MLS rumors: Luis Suarez to Inter Miami

Inter Miami have already signed three former Barcelona players, Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. They have already proved a massive success with Miami winning their last two games with Messi scoring three goals. However, the Herons might not be done yet in the transfer market with another former Barca player linked to the side.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that “Luis Suarez has agreed with Gremio to terminate his contract in December 2023; despite deal expiring in December 2024. Inter Miami remain interested in signing Suarez as free agent for 2024, after deal collapsed this summer.”

Co-owner David Beckham promised that the club would sign some of the World’s best players and he has delivered. Suarez starred alongside Messi for Barcelona but as we saw at the World Cup last year, the Uruguayan is not the player he used to be.

MLS rumors: Maya Yoshida joins LA Galaxy

LA Galaxy used to be the American side that would make the big signings. However, their most recent acquisition is a player relegated with Schalke 04 last season.

Tom Bogert has revealed that “LA Galaxy sign Japan int’l CB Maya Yoshida, per sources. Deal goes through next week after the transfer ban ends & LAG can sign int’l free agents, like all other clubs.”

Yoshida may have suffered relegation in his last campaign. However, the former Schalke, Sampdoria and Southampton defender will bring a  wealth of experience to the Galaxy.

MLS rumors: Lucas Moura to LAFC

Los Angeles FC had Gareth Bale last season, who may not have played that much. However, he did score a very important equaliser in their MLS Cup victory over the Philadelphia Union. LAFC could sign another former Tottenham Hotspur player to replace Bale.

According to Gabriel Sa, LAFC are interested in signing Lucas Moura. The player has also been linked with his former club Sao Paolo but his move to MLS could include a loan to the Brazilian side.
