LeBron James has added another massive accomplishment to an already impressive resume.

The 21-year veteran surpassed 50,000 points in the Los Angeles Lakers matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans.

In reaching this epic milestone, James caught a pass from Luka Doncic, who joined the Lakers via trade from the Dallas Mavericks recently. Doncic connecting with James for a pass to reach this miraculous milestone has to serve as another tough pill to swallow for Mavs fans.

The Mavericks can't catch a break and the Lakers aren't helping

It's been a tough month for Mavericks fans. Not only did they trade their face of the franchise and five-time All-Star in Doncic, but the player who they got back in return in Anthony Davis.

They also dealt with injuries all across the roster, with Irving out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL in the Mavs matchup against the Sacramento Kings. To make matters worse, the Mavs are without Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford, who also missed time this season dealing with injuries.

Meanwhile, after a slow start, Doncic starts to find his game. He dropped 30 points, 15 Assist, and eight rebounds in the Lakers 136-115 win over the Pelicans.

He is slowly coming into form after missing most of the season due to injury, which only bodes well for the Lakers.

At 39-21, the Lakers have exceeded expectations coming into the season and are looking like a potential title contender. They are peaking at the right time and can possibly do some damage in the playoffs based on the way Doncic and James are playing.
