2024 NFL Mock Draft: Las Vegas Raiders 7-round projection, Combine edition
By Sam Penix
Round 7, Pick 221 - Miyan Williams, RB, Ohio State
Josh Jacobs may or may not be back in 2024, and Zamir White is waiting in the wings.
Whether Jacobs is retained or not, Williams would be a good backup who can bring a different element to the room.
Listed at 5-foot-8 227 pounds, Williams is built like a bowling bowl, and he plays like it between the tackles, bouncing off defenders and carrying them on his back for extra yards. He averaged over 6.5 yards per carry from 2021 to 2022, while scoring 17 touchdowns. He's recovering from knee surgery so he won't work out before the draft, but Williams' ability on tape should make a team like the Raiders very excited in the seventh round.
Round 7, Pick 231 - Curtis Jacobs, LB, Penn State
Despite three seasons of starting experience, Jacobs is still very raw as a prospect, and needs a lot of development time. The draw with him is that on tape, he shows off supreme explosion and athletic ability, and tested very well.
In the seventh round, that kind of physical talent is well worth taking a flyer on.
