4 defensive coordinators Packers wrongly left on the table to hire Jeff Hafley

3. Zach Orr, Ravens ILBs coach
The best way to get the right coach for your defensive coordinator position? Poach some assistants from the top defense in football. This season, the Baltimore Ravens held that distinction.
This offseason, the Green Bay Packers requested to interview two Ravens assistant coaches, one of them being inside linebackers coach Zach Orr. The former undrafted free agent out of North Texas spent his three-year career with the Ravens, before making the transition to coaching. From 2017 until 2020, Orr was a defensive analyst for the Ravens but received his first opportunity outside of the Ravens organization by taking the outside linebackers job with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2021 season. Then, for the past two seasons, Orr was inside linebackers coach in Baltimore.
When looking at how the Ravens played on defense, inside linebacker Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen were superstars on the field. Smith recorded 117 tackles (67 assisted), 54 defensive stops, 15 pressures, 10 quarterback hurries, two sacks, and one interception, per Pro Football Focus. As for Queen, he recorded 105 tackles (35 assists), 52 defensive stops, 27 pressures, 20 quarterback hurries, four sacks, three quarterback hits, one forced fumble, and one interception.
There is uncertainty as to where Orr will end up for the 2024 season. Will he stay with the Ravens? Or will he join former Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald in Seattle to coach for the Seahawks?
