Mason Graham transfer portal rumors: 6 best destinations if star DT leaves Michigan
By John Buhler
2. Oregon Ducks could be the next best team in Big Ten after Ohio State
Let's be real. If Mason Graham is going to transfer away from Michigan ahead of his junior year of college, it feels like the Big Ten has more likely landing spots than the SEC does, strictly because of regional ties and familiarity. All the best Pac-12 programs are joining the league he already plays in. One team that I think would absolutely relish the opportunity of landing him would have to be Oregon.
Oregon is the other team besides Ohio State I like to win the Big Ten next year, even though the Ducks are making the big leap up from the Pac-12 to its new league in 2024. Dan Lanning has this thing cooking like a chicken up in Eugene, even though they are Ducks, bruh. Regardless, Oregon is well on its way toward being a national power because they are no recruiting like an SEC program.
Lanning would have been my first choice to replace Nick Saban at Alabama, but he sure loves him some Ducks. Overall, I could see Graham being a difference maker in helping Ohio State come up short of a Big Ten title for the third year in a row. While I suspect the Buckeyes will beat the Wolverines this year, there are no guarantees they will get past Oregon should they meet over in Indianapolis.
Graham on Oregon would be like getting Kayvon Thibodeaux, but a much better version of him.
