4. Nick Caley may be up for a bigger role than just a tight ends coach

We have arrived at the first coach I think Raheem Morris could conceivably poach off Sean McVay's Rams coaching staff. Nick Caley just spent one year as the Rams tight ends coach. Prior to that, he had been in similar roles with the New England Patriots dating back to 2015. Before coming to the NFL nearly a decade ago, Caley spent a decade in college at programs like Auburn and Arkansas.

What got him to New England in the first place is the John Carroll connection he must have had with Patriots former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. As it turns out, getting out of New England may have been the next best thing for Caley in his up-and-coming coaching career. Atlanta is absolutlely loaded at tight end. He could assume his same position and be an assistant head coach.

I think the appeal of getting to work with Kyle Pitts, Jonnu Smith and MyCole Pruitt could be appealing. Although all three tight ends were either Arthur Smith draft picks or former Tennessee Titans players, Atlanta will be at its best if it uses it tight end room to its advantage offensively. This is a great way to help usher in a new quarterback, either as a bridge or one could be entering the draft.

Caley is not going to be the Falcons' next offensive coordinator, but he might follow Morris to Atlanta.
