Brian Banks is finally getting his shot. The former high school star and USC recruit that spent five years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit is getting a chance to reach his dream of becoming an NFL player.
Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, who has worked hard and lobbied for Banks to get a shot in the NFL, reported on Wednesday:
Gang, I'm reporting the best scoop I could ever report: my man FINALLY has his dream back: Falcons have just signed @BrianBanksFREE!!!!

Banks was set free last May when the victim finally admitted that she falsely accused him. The false report almost ruined Banks life and delivered a serious blow to his dreams, but now he has the chance that he has been looking for, hoping for and deserved for the past several years.
Last season, Banks received workouts from the Seahawks, Chargers, and Chiefs, but he never made a roster.
There is still a lot of work for Banks to do if he wants to make a final roster, but he at least has the chance he has been seeking. Let’s hope this man can continue to fight through everything and reach the top. He’s an easy player to root for.
