An intense rivalry between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks is brewing, but Richard Sherman is not going to react after Jim Harbaugh’s response on what’s been happening.

Mike Florio of NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk provides a transcription of what Sherman said during his interview with the NFL Network.

"“I don’t have a relationship with him,” Sherman told NFL Network on Monday regarding Harbaugh.  “I don’t try to go any route with him.  I don’t deal with him; he is not my coach.  So I deal with what is going on in Seattle and I keep it there.  I think his comments are what they are.  We are going to be the bigger team, the bigger players.”"

Yes, Sherman is a little passive by saying that they’ll be “bigger” and “better players,” but it’s refreshing after seeing him trash talking to Roddy White since after the season on Twitter and into NFL Network’s Top 100 countdown programming.

Jim Harbaugh’s comments were pretty strong against the Seahawks, but undeserving of the response by Brandon Browner putting his hands “around his neck” and Golden Tate giving “him the Sean Lee treatment.” Tate was fined $21,000 for his hard hit on Lee last season.

At least Sherman never had any comments of inflicting pain on his opponents, and that’s something all of us would struggle at if we joined First Take.
