It is always great for the NFL when you can have two high profile teams in a fierce rivalry, and that is exactly what we have been getting with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West. Seattle is one of the best young teams in the league who have turned in to serious challengers, while the 49ers are at the top of the NFC and looking to return to another Super Bowl this year.

The most recent chapter of the rivalry came when Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner, who was suspended four games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing druge, was asked about comments made by 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh about the Seahawks and their recent run of drug suspensions where he said “if you cheat to win then you’ve already lost.”

Browner couldn’t have been any clearer in his response.

“He’s never gonna be out there lined up against me. I wish he would. I’d put my hands around his neck,” Browner said, via Dave Mahler of Sports Radio KJR in Seattle.

Lucky for us, we get to see the Seahawks and 49ers face off on the gridiron at least twice a year and this year’s match ups should be just as exciting as ever. You can count on these two physical and intense teams going all out as they compete in what could become one of the best rivalries currently in the NFL.
