If there was ever any doubt about whether NFL players are tough, this is proof that they are. During Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson lost the tip of his middle finger.

That injury required surgery to repair his finger.

The doctors shaved the exposed bone down before repairing the finger.

Johnson lost his finger about down to the first knuckle. The injury occurred when Johnson was trying to tackle Darren Sproles on a punt return. Outside of that, they don’t really know what happened.

For those hoping to see pictures, Johnson said that he wouldn’t be sharing it, for your own good.
