With the Atlanta Falcons season off to a horrible start after entering the year with Super Bowl hopes, there is plenty of trade buzz surfacing that involves veteran tight end Tony Gonzalez. The future Hall of Famer wanted to finish off his career with a contender, so shipping him off to one of the top teams in the final year of his career would be a classy move from the Falcons.

Among the teams interested in Gonzalez are the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens, according to CBS Insider Jason La Canfora.

It would be great to see Gonzalez have his swan song with the Chiefs, where he spent most of his career and established himself as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history, so we will have our fingers crossed for that one if a move is made.

The Ravens would also be interesting, considering their need at tight end, but the team hasn’t looked too spectacular and they could be the least appealing potential suitor.

As for the Patriots, they love their tight ends and it would give Tom Brady another great weapon.

If Gonzalez is moved, let’s just hope that he makes the trip back to Kansas City where Chiefs fans would welcome him with open arms.
