The New York Giants are currently sitting at a league worst 0-6 and discussion has already shifted to the 2014 NFL Draft. It might quickly be shifting to the trade market as CBS Sports is reporting that several NFL teams are expected to call the Giants in regards to a potential trade for 25-year-old wide receiver, Hakeem Nicks.

The talented wideout will be an unrestricted free agent at season end and given his lack of consistency mixed with nagging injury problems and reported salary demands, it’s been reported the Giants aren’t overly enthusiastic (or optimistic) about re-signing him.

Given that, the Giants are expecting to field multiple calls in regards to his availability:

"Several NFL clubs are planning to determine the degree to which New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks might be available via trade following New York dropping to 0-6 this week, according to league sources."

Earlier today, it was reported the Tennessee Titans were requesting a third round draft pick in exchange for Kenny Britt, so one could only assume the Giants would have a higher asking price for Nicks given his talent.

According to CBS, both the San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons have held internal discussions about a potential Nicks trade:

"Among the teams holding internal discussions about him, according to club sources, were the 49ers and Falcons."

The NFL trade deadline is October 29th at 4 p.m. ET
