The Tampa Bay Buccaneers certainly expected a better start to their season than the 0-5 start they’re on. Even more upset with their start could be the 1-4 Atlanta Falcons. They played in the NFC Championship game last season and had high expectations coming into the season.

The Falcons have been riddled with injuries. Free agent signee, running back Steven Jackson has been injured and hasn’t been out. The Falcons also lost dynamic wide receiver Julio Jones for the season as well. To make matters worse, they’ll also be without wide receiver Roddy White for this match up.

“We’re in a difficult streak with injuries right now, but I think as coaches we look at it as a challenge,” Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter said, via ESPN. “No one thinks you have a chance right now, so let’s try to figure out a way to get this done.”

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have dealt with their own distractions and turmoil. There was a very public struggle and back and forth between quarterback Josh Freeman and head coach Greg Schiano. Eventually, Tampa Bay released Freeman and promoted rookie Mike Glennon to starting quarterback.

Freeman signed with the Minnesota Vikings and will start for them.
