NFC’s leading team, the Seattle Seahawks, almost lost to the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. They’re trying to avoid an upset against another NFC South team on the road this time, the Atlanta Falcons. These two teams met in the playoffs and the Seahawks almost beat the Falcons to go to the NFC Championship game.

The Falcons turned the ball over a lot last week against the Carolina Panthers and think if they can hold onto the football they’ll have a chance.

“We’ve got to take care of the football,” coach Mike Smith said, via ESPN. “Possession of the football is nine-tenths of the game. That’s what you’ve got to do when you’re on the offensive side of the ball.

“You have to possess the football, and it’s not just the responsibility of the quarterback. It’s the responsibility of everyone on the offensive side, including the coaches, in terms of making sure we take care of the ball.”
