It looks like the Atlanta Falcons will not know the status of tight end Tony Gonzalez this Thursday when they face the New Orleans Saints until right before the game is set to kick-off. He looked like a long-shot to play Sunday vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the future hall of famer was unable to practice at all last week, but manged to suit-up and start.
After missing practice Monday, he was once again unable to go today:

That’s five-straight missed practices for Gonzalez, and it will leave his status for Thursday in doubt until kickoff. Gonzalez caught six balls for 51 yards and a two-point conversion in the Falcons’ Week 11 loss to Tampa Bay.
Gonzalez has missed only two games in his 17-year career, but suffered a serious left toe injury against the Seattle Seahawks two weeks ago that has plagued him since. Gonzalez hasn’t missed a game since the 2006 season. If Gonzalez can’t play, Levine Toilolo is likely to see an increase in playing time with the first team.
