Who says Matty Ice doesn’t have wheels?
Okay, so far tonight we’ve established that Matt Ryan isn’t exactly having the easiest time in the pocket tonight against that much-improved New Orleans Saints defense. He’s taken some shots, just as he has all year long, which is a viable reason for the two-win year thus far.
So, if this is the case, success is not going to come with Ryan sitting in the pocket and being a surgeon back there. There are going to be times when he’s going to have to just take matters into his own hands.
Now, I realize that he’s not going to be finishing games with 150+ yards on the ground or anything, but he will have his moments.
He had one of those moments against the Saints late in the fourth quarter when things started to fall apart again.
