Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes. This is something that has undoubtedly plagued the Atlanta Falcons this season as they’ve limped through 2013. Whether it’s Matt Ryan throwing a head-scratching interception or some questionable coaching decisions, the Falcons are the definition of a mistake-prone team this year.
That hasn’t really changed a lot tonight against the New Orleans Saints, a team that they’d love to beat to help get them out of their slump.
Atlanta has actually done a rather good job of sticking with one of the best teams in the NFC tonight, but if they want this victory, they have to absolutely limit their turnovers.
Darius Johnson didn’t get that memo.
Down just 17-13 in the fourth quarter, the Falcons were driving when Matt Ryan found Johnson for a completion. The only thing was, Johnson couldn’t hang on to the ball after that:
Yeah, I understand this goes without saying, but when you’re playing with one of the best teams in the conference, you can’t let something like this happen.
