The Atlanta Falcons have announced they are waiving wide receiver Brian Robiskie.  The only thing that makes this stand out from being a run of the mill roster move during the week is the Atlanta Falcons’ wide receiver coach is Robiskie’s father, Terry Robiskie.  In what had to be a difficult day for both members of the Robiskie family, Brian now finds himself on waivers again as he hopes to catch on with another team.  The former second round pick from Ohio State has spent time with the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions before ending up in Atlanta.

Robiskie was touted as the most NFL-ready wide receiver in the 2009 NFL Draft, the former Buckeye out of Chagrin Falls went with the 36th pick.  His polish was at least in part due to being the son of an NFL receiver coach and he did a lot of things well for the position.  The problem Robiskie ran into as an NFL player has been his ability to separate from defenders to get open and make plays.
