J.J. Hickson had 19 points and 11 rebounds and Wilson Chandler scored 19 points as well to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 102-93 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night.

Nate Robinson scored 14 points off of the bench and Kenneth Faried and Ty Lawson scored 12 points apiece.

Ryan Anderson continues to play at high, all-star type level. He finished with a game-high 26 points and six rebounds. Second-year guard Austin Rivers had one of the best games of his young career, scoring 17 points on five-of-nine shooting.

Both teams struggled shooting the ball throughout the night. The Pelicans shot 43.5% from the field (37-of-85) , 29.2% from beyond the arc (seven-of-24) and 63.2% from the charity stripe (12-of-19). The Nuggets actually posted the exact same numbers from the field and from three, but hit 75.0% of their free throws and got to the line nine more times (21-of-28), making the difference in the game.

The Nuggets, who will host the Oklahoma City Thunder Tuesday, are now 14-9 while the Pelicans are 11-11. They’ll be in Golden State to take on the Warriors Tuesday.
