Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson is one of the bigger backs in the league, so you can expect him to get the ball near the goal line when the Falcons are deep in the redzone. That is exactly what happened in the first quarter of today’s match up against the Washington Redskins, as Jackson plowed his way into the endzone to give Atlanta an early lead.

Redskins cornerback Josh Wilson saw the open lane for Jackson into the endzone, when he declined to tighten his chinstrap and attempt to make the touchdown saving tackle.

Unfortunately for Wilson, Jackson was running at full steam and lowered his shoulder. The result wasn’t pretty for Wilson, who went flying five yards backwards into the endzone as Jackson crossed the goal line and gave his team the score.

Wilson may have been completely destroyed on the play, but you have to appreciate his willingness to lower his head and attempt to make the play — even if the result was ugly.
