While ESPN’s Jon Gruden always finds his name being thrown out during the annual NFL coaching carousal, it’s his brother Jay who’s been receiving the vast majority of interest this go around.

Earlier today, it was reported that the Minnesota Vikings had interest in the Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator and now the Washington Redskins are expected to give the other Gruden ‘major consideration’ for their head coaching job, this according to Jeff Darlington:

"I still fully expect Jay Gruden, when the time comes, to get major consideration for the Redskins’ head coaching job. Keep that one in mind."

It was reported on Wednesday that many potential coaching candidates were ‘nervous’ about taking the Redskins job which is an understandable stance considering the unknown healthy of Robert Griffin III and Daniel Snyder breathing down your back.

That said – few could handle that situation better than Gruden, thus, it makes sense as to why Washington will likely show interest.

Gruden’s Bengals are currently in the midst of a playoff run so the Redskins are unable to request an interview until Cincinnati’s season comes to an end.
