The Minnesota Vikings are looking for a head coach after firing Lezlie Frazier and it’s a search that may lead them to Cincinnati.

According Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Vikings have expressed interest in Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden and defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer as their next head coach:

"Hear #Vikings will have interest in both #Bengals coordinators: OC Jay Gruden & DC Mike Zimmer. If they win this week, gotta keep waiting"

While some teams, like the New England Patriots have allowed their coaches to go on interviews this week, the Bengals have not considering they play in the Wild Card round this weekend while teams like the Patriots have a bye.

Due to that, any request made by the Vikings would be shot down so Minnesota will need to wait until the Bengals’ season comes to a conclusion before being granted an interview to either Gruden or Zimmer – that of course assumes the Bengals would approve such.

We’ll find out in the coming weeks assuming the Vikings don’t go in another direction beforehand.
