The Denver Nuggets suspended guard Andre Miller after an altercation with head coach Brian Shaw this week, and that has promoted two Western Conference teams to mull the idea of trading for Miller given the situation. Miller, who has been solid veteran guard over the past few years, is in hot water after yelling at his head coach during a game and now trade rumors have inevitably surfaced involving him.

It’s not as though a lot needs to happen to spark trade rumors, but the Miller-Shaw incident apparently had the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors interested in taking Miller off of the Nuggets hands, according to Yahoo! insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Nuggets may have suspended Miller to put him in check, but that doesn’t mean they’re ready to sever tie with the veteran guard. Woj points this out by saying the Nuggets are trying to work things out with Miller, indicating that they are clearly invested in the relationship and aren’t going to bail just because of one major incident and some trade interest.

But should the situation not pan out, the Nuggets at least have the comfort of knowing there’s a couple teams in the market for Miller and a trade can be made if all else fails. Miller isn’t seeing a lot of minutes though and it cold be he who sees outside interest and decides that a trade is best for all parties involved.
