When the Denver Nuggets suspend veteran guard Andre Miller last week for an on court spat with head coach Brian Shaw, there was instantaneous trade talk from other teams inquiring about the chances of taking him off the hands of the Nuggets. While the Sacramento Kings emerged yesterday as a team looking to proactively pursue a guy the Nuggets are actively trying to shop, Frank Isola is reporting on one team not in the mix.
Despite some early indications that the New York Knicks would at least kick the tires on a Miller trade, Isola reports that the team will not be asking about Miller and won’t be trying to make a trade.
I'm hearing the Knicks are not in the running for Andre Miller. No word yet on Nene, Nikoloz Tskitishvili and Rocky, the Nuggets mascot.

Now, as we saw wight he Chicago Bulls last night, you can’t count a team out until the player involved is on another team, and the Knicks near trade for Kyle Lowry suggests they’d be at least mildly interested here. But Isola is ruling them out which means the Knicks still believe they can win with the roster they have, which doesn’t say a whole lot about Andre Miller if that’s the case.
