The Denver Nuggets have yet to insert veteran guard Andre Miller back into the lineup since he had an alteration with head coach Brian Shaw during a game a while back. The Nuggets suspended Miller and trade talk started up almost immediately, with the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings showing interest.

Since then, trade talks have died down, but Miller still hasn’t played. This would seem to imply an ever growing rift between the Nuggets, Shaw and Miller, but the head coach is stating otherwise. Shaw spoke with reporters and Jody Genessy of the Deseret News relays Shaw’s quotes on how he has nothing but respect for Miller.

"“He’s dealing with what he needs to deal with. I’m focusing on the team and what’s best for the team right now,”Shaw said. “As I’ve said, I’m willing to coach any(body) and everybody who wants to put the team first. I have nothing but respect for him.”’"

It’s unclear when Miller will return to the lineup, if he ever does. There’s a chance that the New York Knicks get in on a trade for Miller to correct their J.R. Smith problem and add a veteran voice to the locker room. All of that is speculation though as it appears the Nuggets aren’t going to trade Miller just yet, but with the deadline approaching, a decision one way or the other needs to be made.
