The Denver Nuggets still haven’t inserted Andre Miller back into their lineup after he had a fight with head coach Brian Shaw, and the New York Knicks have yet to decide what to do with J.R. Smith. Logic would suggest that he two teams could swap the players, something the Knicks have been trying to do, but the Nuggets have other ideas.

According to Chris Mannix from Sports Illustrated, the Nuggets are not in the mood to entertain the idea of trading for J.R. Smith.

This throws a wrench in the Knicks plans to trade Smith and it also signals that the Nuggets aren’t going to just give up on Miller simply because they’re offered a trade for him. Denver is still apparently trying to work things out with Miller and Brian Shaw has extended an olive branch to Miller with his most recent comment.s

As for the Smith, Wednesday is the first day the Knicks can trade the former Sixth Man of the Year, but don’t expect him to be moved anytime soon.
