The NBA trade deadline is approaching and the Eastern Conference looks to be the hone of a host of unconventional buyers this year. While the Charlotte Bobcats appear serious about making waves, the Washington Wizards are in the market for a backup point guard and appear to have eyes set west on Denver.

While no official word out of Wizards’ camp has indicated they’re in hot pursuit of embattled Nuggets guard Andre Miller, Marc J. Spears from Yahoo! Sports suggests that it would make a lot of sense.

"The Wizards are desperately seeking a veteran backup guard. Denver’s Andre Miller could be a great fit behind John Wall."

The Wizards aren’t a lock to make a deal at the deadline but they’re certainly keeping their options open. As Spears points out, Miller makes a lot of sense for the Wizards and the Nuggets need to get rid of him. This could lead to a trade and one the the Wizards find very affordable.
