The Denver Nuggets shuffled things around at the point guard position at this week’s trade deadline. They sent out disgruntled veteran Andre Miller and brought in Aaron Brooks from the Houston Rockets.

With Ty Lawson still day-to-day and the Nuggets scheduled to take the floor against the Chicago Bulls on Friday night, one might have wondered if Brian Shaw would thrust Brooks right into the starting lineup. The team is operating sans a true point guard, after all, with Randy Foye playing (severely) out of position in recent weeks.

Even still, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports that Brooks will come off the bench in his Nuggets debut but should get plenty of minutes.

Things are looking up already.
