The Seattle Seahawks finally decided to part ways with Chris Clemons but it doesn’t appear as if the defensive end will be on the market very long.

Clemons was already linked to the Jacksonville Jaguars and now according to Albert Breer, assuming everything goes to plan, Clemons will sign a multi-year deal with the Jaguars.

"If everything goes to plan, DE Chris Clemons will sign a multi-year deal with the Jaguars on his visit there."

Clemons isn’t exactly a prime time free agent, but he’s still high quality and would prove to be one of the better ‘name’ signings by the Jaguars in quite some time.

There’s been no mention of any money or years (outside of the ‘multi-year addition) so it’s unknown what Clemons would be signing for, but given the Jaguars sub-par pass rush it’ll be a welcome addition assuming it goes through.

Clemons has drawn interest from a few teams but reportedly likes Jacksonville and where the team is going, not to mention the fact they have a need and are willing to shell out hefty dollars to bring him in.
