Atlanta Falcons receiver Roddy White has picked up a lot of attention after he placed a bet with a Twitter follower and ended up losing.
At first, it looked like Roddy wasn’t going to pay up. White put up season tickets to the fan who had his money on Mercer, and the wide receiver ended up getting a bunch of heat for it. People have been blowing up the veteran’s timeline with tweets regarding the bet.
Today I came across a tweet that was re-tweeted by one of my followers. I read the beginning of the tweet that mentioned season tickets, then I started to read on. The stuff that Roddy White offered in this tweet was absolutely ridiculous.
Here’s what Roddy offered Dylan Hoyt on Twitter:
@DHoyt77 2 season tickets, 2 SB tix, pregame sideline passes to game and a day at camp as my guest. How does that sound

Here’s Hoyt’s response:
I tried telling y'all @roddywhiteTV was a good guy in the end!! Couldn't ever imagine something this awesome! #RiseUp

I have a feeling the league will put an end to players betting with fans from here on out.
