The Minnesota Timberwolves are in the final games of another disappointing campaign. While seasons past have been derailed by key injuries, namely to superstar power forward Kevin Love, this year is harder to explain.
The team’s 35-35 record has them well outside the playoff picture and has called into question head coach Rick Adelman‘s future. Reports have indicated that Adelman might leave at season’s end and names like Fred Hoiberg have already been linked to the job. Asked about those reports, Adelman said he was not aware of them, saying little else to shed light on his future plans.

#Twolves Adelman on next season: I'm asking these guys to put effort out every night. … I don't know if that answers your question." (2/2)

The Timberwolves entered the 2013-2014 with more questions than answers. A team with a lot of promise, only a winning season could lend any certainty to questions surrounding Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, Adelman, and their future in general. Their results this year won’t be good enough, and so the questions will remain.
