San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick found himself in the center of the spotlight following reports involving an incident in early April. 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh stood by his quarterback calling it a “witch-hunt scenario,” but Kaepernick is calling it a blessing in disguise.

“It’s been put out that I did something wrong,” Kaepernick said, via the Modesto Bee. “Even though it’s a bad circumstance, a bad situation, I feel like ultimately I’ve been blessed because it’s changed my way of thinking. It’s made me stronger. It’s made me look at things differently.”

Harbaugh also predicted there would be a good resolution to the situation having heard both sides. For Kaepernick it is a blessing to learn a hard message but not necessarily from a hard situation.
