The Atlanta Falcons have been rumored in some big trades this offseason but so far none of them have happened. Despite rampant rumors of the team trading up in the draft, Atlanta stayed at No. 6 overall and drafted Jake Matthews from Texans A&M.

Another trade that has been kicked around the rumor mill involves the Falcons trading for Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Eric Berry. According to Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff, while the team would love Berry there is no truth to the trade rumors.

Dimitroff has a relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs but that isn’t helping the deal become anymore factual. It’s one of many trades we’ve been hearing kicked around and while it makes sense, the time for a swap seems to have passed. There’s still a chance that a deal is made, but the Chiefs will likely try to re-sign Berry before giving up and trading him before the final year of his contract can even start.
