The Cleveland sports scene got a whole lot more exciting when Johnny Manziel came to town to play for the Browns, and while he hasn’t even taken a preseason snap yet, the city is already buzzing about having Johnny Football all to their own.

More from Cleveland Browns

Cleveland hasn’t had much to cheer about recently — or more like ever — but the last happy moment the sports scene experienced was the Cleveland Indians making a run to the postseason last year. Naturally, the last happy thing and the latest happy thing about Cleveland sports are merging to form one happy and hopeful moment.

Johnny Manziel is set to throw out the first pitch at the Cleveland Indians game tonight and he tweeted out an old photo that strangely foreshadows his night tonight.

It’s going to be a brief moment but it’ll be one of the happier moments of Indians season this year. It’s also going to be one of the first real times that we see Johnny Footbal representing the Cleveland sports scene as the city hasn’t had a sports spokesman since LeBron James left.

There’s no garuntee that Johnny Manziel will pan out in the NFL, but these infant stages of his time in Cleveland are already some of the most exciting times we’ve seen recently so we’ll at least always have those.
