College football prognosticator Phil Steele continued to unveil his preseason all-conference teams on Friday as he released his picks for the SEC as he released four teams in what should once again be the premier conference in the nation with this deep ensemble of talent.

More from College Football

Nick Marshall is the quarterback on the first team after helping guide Auburn to the SEC title and the BCS National Championship Game in his first season as the team’s starting quarterback. He should take a significant step in his second year in Gus Malzahn and Rhett Lashlee’s offense this season.

Todd Gurley and T.J. Yeldon are the running backs on the first team as the Georgia and Alabama running backs may be the two best running backs in the entire country, although Mike Davis from South Carolina would make a good argument for that case, but he landed on the second team.

Amari Cooper, Sammie Coates and Jameon Lewis are the receivers on the first team that would have included Dorial Green-Beckham if not for his dismissal from Missouri for repeated off-the-field troubles. Talented sophomore tight end OJ Howard is the tight end and the Alabama Crimson Tide should have fun watching him breakout this season.

Alabama led the way with three selections on the first-team defense with Georgia, Florida and Ole Miss each getting two players on the first-team.
