The Buffalo Bills have had a handful of popular names attached to them in recent months as the team is put up for sale.

More from Buffalo Bills

Real estate mogul and everybody’s favorite ‘Apprentice’ star Donald Trump has had his hands in the cookie jar as has rocker Jon Bon Jovi. But there’s another famous name emerging as a potential buyer of the Orchard Park franchise, though, she would apparently be along for the ride – at least for now.

Tennis icon Monica Seles, the former Yugoslav world no. 1 professional tennis player and member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame is set to marry 72-year-old Thomas Golisano who has been linked to a potential Bills purchase.

Seles is of course only 40-years-old and assuming the two stayed together, could be in line to eventually make decisions for the franchise says Pro Football Talk.

Given that Golisano is 72 and Seles is 40, Seles will likely end up surviving Golisano, at some point.  Which depending on ownership structures and prenuptial agreements could put her in position to own the team.

As things currently stand, Golisano isn’t even owner of the franchise yet and is just rumored to be interested so we’re a long way from Seles actually becoming a part owner of the team. Still, a rather interesting scenario if it does end up proving to happen.

As for Golisano, he has expressed a desire to keep the Bills in upstate New York if he does buy the team, so there are likely many fans in Buffalo rooting for his purchase.
