The 6-4, 220-pound linebacker is the nation’s No. 274 player regardless of position, the No. 22 outside linebacker and the No. 28 player in the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.he also had offers from Michigan State, North Carolina, Kentucky and Louisville, but Georgia was his dream school.

McRae was in Athens on Tuesday for the school’s camp where he ran a 4.62 time in the 40-yard dash and received his offer on Wednesday which he accepted after talking it over with his family.

“I am committed to the ‘G’ and that’s it. I’m a Bulldog,” McCrae said.

“I just committed,” McCrae told Dawgs247 in a telephone interview Wednesday Night. “I’m a Bulldog. Everybody, my whole family, we are just cheesing. This is a dream come true.”

McRae grew up a Georgia fan but basketball was his first love growing up. He has a significant amount of upside considering how little football he has played to this point in his career.

He didn’t play significant amount in his junior season as a result of a knee injury, but is fully healthy and prepared to have a strong senior season and could see his rankings sky rocket as a result.

With the commitment of McRae, Georgia now owns the nation’s No. 12 class in the nation and the No. 8 class in the SEC.
