The month of June is quickly soaring by, meaning that very soon we’ll be at the two-month mark of the 2014 college football season finally getting underway.

More from College Football

This year, there are some tremendous opening weekend match ups, although if you were to look at the early betting lines that Las Vegas has thrown out, you really wouldn’t considered the match ups all that intriguing.

This past week, the Golden Nugget released their lines for that opening weekend, and despite the big-name pairings, there are some heavy, HEAVY favorites.

Boise State Broncos vs. Mississippi Rebels -9 (Atlanta)

FRIDAY 8/29

UNLV Rebels at Arizona Wildcats -23.5
BYU Cougars -16.5 at Connecticut Huskies

SATURDAY 8/30

Arkansas Razorbacks at Auburn Tigers -24
Colorado State Rams at Colorado Buffaloes -4 (Denver)
Clemson Tigers at Georgia Bulldogs -9
California Golden Bears at Northwestern Wildcats -9.5
UCLA Bruins -21.5 at Virginia Cavaliers
Ohio State Buckeyes -14 at Navy Midshipmen

MONDAY 9/1

Of course, especially given what Oklahoma State lost from last year, it’s not much of a shock that the defending national champion Florida State Seminoles are that big of a favorite.
