Kelly, who is battling a recurrence of sinus cancer, talked with last year’s first round pick and the team’s starting quarterback and asked him if he was ready for this, to which Manuel replied, “yes sir.”
The Bills haven’t made the playoffs this century and if they are to get back to the postseason, a large chunk of that responsibility falls on the right arm of the former Florida State quarterback.
A little pep talk from Kelly who guided the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances should serve as motivation and inspire the former Seminoles signal-caller to make a significant impact after starting 10 games as a rookie.
Considering all that Kelly has been through on and off-the-field it had to be a joy and a pleasant surprise to see the franchise’s best player of all-time to check in with them during their minicamp.
Here is a sampling of some of the sights from Kelly at minicamp, including the Hall of Famer breaking the team down with a playoff yell at the end of practice.
It doesn’t get much better than this.
