The deadline for Miami Heat star LeBron James and others around the league to opt out of their current contracts is June 29 and that date is rapidly approaching.

More from LeBron James

With the deadline just around the corner, there is plenty of discussion about potential suitors for LeBron James and it appears that he will begin to weigh those options and think about his future as early as this weekend.

From Howard Beck of Bleacher Report:

"There are rumblings that James will start weighing his options this weekend. One rival executive pegged his chances of leaving Miami at 40 percent."

One of the top and most interesting potential landing spots for James is the Houston Rockets, who will reportedly make “an all out push” to land the NBA star. In Houston, James would join the likes of Dwight Howard and James Harden.

That would pair James with a dominant big man for the first time in his career.

It is going to be worth watching to see what LeBron’s next move will be, but if he begins to weigh those options this weekend we could have a clearer idea of where he will end up in the future much earlier than originally anticipated.
